Columbia, South Carolina – Allen University’s Division of Institutional Advancement will host its 1st Quarterly Days of Giving Challenge on Tuesday, August 1st – Thursday, August 3rd.
The money raised will go towards the Allen University General Scholarship Fund to provide tuition assistance for students who qualify for need-based assistance. Nearly 98% of the university’s students receive some form of financial aid, many whom would not otherwise be able to afford a college education.
“Every dollar raised during the three-day challenge will benefit an Allen University student and allow them the opportunity to attain their dream of a college education”, said Nimai Garrett, Director of Alumni Affairs.
The staff will use social media, including Facebook, Twitter, email and other communication formats, to promote the three-day fundraising effort.
Everyone is encouraged to donate online at http://www.allenuniversity.edu/GIVING to have your gifts counted toward the “Days of Giving” total. Spread the word using hashtag #AUDaysOfGiving on social media to join in on the fun and conversation.
